For installers
Solar Desk is two halves joined together. Your customers fill in a calculator that wears your branding and sizes their own system. You get a dashboard where those enquiries land, each one already carrying the roof, the panel count, the battery decision and whether the person is paying cash or monthly.
This section is about the dashboard, which is the half you sign into. Your customers never see it, and the words “Solar Desk” appear nowhere in front of them.
The four screens
Section titled “The four screens”Everything you do sits behind four entries in the rail down the left.
- Leads is the pipeline: every enquiry with its figures, its status, its notes and its quotes. Most of your time is here.
- Products is your catalogue of panels and batteries. The calculator never offers hardware you do not fit.
- Pricing is the sheet that every figure a customer sees is built from. Nothing in the estimate is hardcoded.
- Theme is the customer-facing side: colours, wording, and the settings that decide who gets told when an enquiry arrives.
A tour of the dashboard walks through all four.
Three phases
Section titled “Three phases”Set up. Create your account, then replace the three things that arrive as examples: your pricing, your products and your branding. None of it is public while you work, which is the point of starting pending.
Go live. Preview your calculator as a customer would meet it, clear the three blockers, and we switch you on. There is no self-serve button for that last step, deliberately: nobody should be quoted a price built on our example figures.
Work the pipeline. Read the quote list, open a lead, move it through the statuses, talk to the customer, then build, send and record acceptance of a quote. Any view of the list can be exported to Excel.
About the screenshots
Section titled “About the screenshots”Every picture in this section comes from Meridian Solar, a demo installer that does not exist, or from Northwind Solar, a demo account that has not been switched on yet. Neither is a real company.
The dashboard is always Solar Desk’s own, in Solar Desk’s colours, so it will look like this for you too. The customer-facing side will not: the colours, the tagline and the header in these pictures belong to the demo, and yours will be yours.
